Description
A market district in Port-au-Prince smoulders after it was set ablaze in the weeks following the January 2010 earthquake in Haiti. Arsonists retaliating against storeowners who had fought back against looters caused this hellish scene. The two women in the photo own small stalls, and they are trying to salvage what is left of their merchandise. Canada continues to provide aid to help rebuild the country.
